Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing The Sneaker Hut. By placing an order for any cleaning, restoration, repair, customisation, or related service, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.

1. General

The Sneaker Hut provides shoe, bag, and cap cleaning, restoration, repair, and customisation services. Due to the nature of these services, results may vary depending on the age, condition, materials, construction, and previous treatment of the item.

We reserve the right to refuse any service at our sole discretion.

2. Service Estimates

All quotations and service recommendations are based on the information available at the time of booking. Following inspection of your item, additional work may be recommended, and pricing may be adjusted accordingly with your approval.

3. Turnaround Times

Our typical turnaround time is approximately 2–3 weeks from receipt of your item.

More complex repairs, restorations, sole replacements, sole transplants, or custom work may require 6–8 weeks or longer.

 

All turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Completion times may vary due to:

  • High order volumes

  • Supplier or manufacturer delays

  • Material or component shortages

  • Additional repairs identified during inspection

  • Customer approval delays

  • Postal or courier delays

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Delays in completion shall not entitle the customer to compensation, refunds, chargebacks, or cancellation rights beyond those provided by law.

 

4. Cleaning & Restoration Results

While we make every effort to achieve the best possible outcome, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains, odours, discolouration, yellowing, dye transfer, material bleeding, or other imperfections.

Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Wine stains

  • Coffee stains

  • Blood stains

  • Oil and grease stains

  • Paint stains

  • Tar and gum residue

  • Dye transfer

  • Deep-set discolouration

Cleaning and restoration services are intended to improve the appearance and condition of an item but do not guarantee restoration to original or “like new” condition.

5. Material-Specific Services

 

Loro Piana Sole Whitening

Sole whitening is effective primarily on surface staining and mild to moderate yellowing. Deep internal discolouration may not be removable. For severe discolouration, sole replacement may be recommended.

UGG Cleaning

The cleaning process may alter the texture, appearance, or colour of suede materials. Colour loss and texture changes may occur.

Dyeing Services

All dyeing services are performed at the customer’s own risk. Results vary depending on the material, existing colour, and desired finish. We reserve the right to refuse any dyeing service.

6. Repairs & Modifications

Glue Repairs

Glue repairs are not guaranteed. The longevity and success of any adhesive repair depend on the materials, design, age, and condition of the item.

Modifications

Modifications, including but not limited to replacement toe protectors, labels, logos, branding elements, or decorative components, are performed at the customer’s own risk.

As we are not the original manufacturer, the final appearance may differ from the factory finish.

7. Sole Transplants

 

Sole transplant services are performed at the customer’s own risk.

Whilst every effort is made to achieve a professional result, The Sneaker Hut is not a footwear manufacturer and cannot guarantee that the finished result will replicate the original factory construction or appearance.

Donor shoes supplied by customers must:

  • Be genuine products manufactured by the original brand

  • Be the exact same model as the recipient pair

  • Be the exact same size as the recipient pair

The Sneaker Hut does not verify authenticity, model compatibility, or sizing before donor sole removal. We accept no liability if a donor sole proves incompatible.

 

Donor uppers are permanently removed during the process and cannot be returned.

Should a donor sole be incompatible or the transplant prove unsuccessful due to factors beyond our reasonable control, The Sneaker Hut shall not be liable for the value of the donor or recipient footwear.

8. Pre-Existing Damage

 

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, deterioration, structural weakness, material failure, previous repair work, dry rot, sole separation, cracking, colour loss, or any damage that becomes apparent during the service process. Certain materials may weaken with age and can be adversely affected by cleaning, restoration, or repair procedures despite reasonable care being taken.

 

9. Personal Items

 

Customers are responsible for removing all personal belongings from items submitted for service. The Sneaker Hut accepts no liability for the loss of money, jewellery, electronics,  keys, documents, or other personal property left within submitted items.

 

10. Shipping & Delivery

Customers must retain proof of postage when sending items to us. Claims for items lost in transit to The Sneaker Hut may require proof of postage and will be subject to the terms of the relevant courier or postal service. Returned items are shipped using the delivery service selected at checkout. Customers are responsible for ensuring a secure delivery location. We accept no responsibility for parcels that are lost, stolen, or damaged after being delivered in accordance with delivery instructions provided by the customer.

 

11. Lost or Damaged Items

Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted within 14 days of collection, delivery, or the estimated delivery date. Where The Sneaker Hut accepts liability for loss or damage, compensation shall be limited to the fair second-hand market value of the item immediately before the service was performed and shall not exceed any applicable insurance cover purchased. Original retail prices, replacement costs, sentimental value, appreciation in value, and consequential losses are excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

12. Cancellations

Customers have statutory cancellation rights where applicable under UK consumer legislation. Where a cancellation request is received before work has commenced, a refund may be issued less any reasonable costs already incurred, including administration, shipping, materials, and handling charges.

 

Once work has commenced, cancellation may no longer be possible and any refund will be determined based on the work completed and costs incurred. Custom-ordered materials, bespoke components, and special-order soles are non-refundable.

13. Refunds & Rework

If a customer is dissatisfied with a service, The Sneaker Hut reserves the right to inspect the item and, where appropriate, attempt to rectify the issue before any refund is considered.

Refunds will not be issued solely because the customer is dissatisfied with a result that falls within the reasonable expectations of the service provided.

14. Uncollected Items

Items not collected within 90 days of completion notification may be disposed of, donated, recycled, or sold to recover storage and administration costs without further notice.

15. Photography

The Sneaker Hut may photograph items before, during, and after service for quality control, insurance, training, dispute resolution, and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order or submitting an item for service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
